By purchasing this kit, you will get the required supplies and instructions to test your drinking water for parameters frequently required for drinking water approval and all the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines list of parameters that are suggested to be tested.  You may wish to check out our other more common packages, but if you want everything tested and the piece of mind, this kit will test for all the parameters that Health Canada have identified as potential concerns in water.

What it tests

Coli, Alkalinity, Aluminum, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Boron, Cadmium, Calcium, Chloride, Chromium, Cobalt, Colour, Copper, Conductivity, Cyanide, Fluoride, Hardness (total), Iron, Lead, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Mercury, Nickel, Nitrate, Nitrite, pH, Potassium, Selenium, Sodium, Sulfate, Total Dissolved Solids, Transmissivity, Turbidity, Uranium, Zinc, Metals, Heavy Metals, Pesticides, Herbicides, Halo Acetic Acids (HAAs), VOCs, Chlorinated Phenols, NTA, Sulphide, Chloramines, Ammonia, Atrazine, Benzene, and Benzo(a)pyrene.

How it works

Upon purchase of this test, you will receive the testing containers via mail.

Containers Included:

1. Microbiology: 300 mL sterile with Na2S2O3 preservative
2. Metals: 125 mL HDPE with HNO3 preservative
3. General: 250 mL HDPE
4. Mercury: 40 mL vial with HCL preservative
5. Cyanide: 125 mL HDPE with NaOH preservative
6. PAHs: 2 x 250mL NaHSO4
7. VOCs: 2 x 40mL NaHSO4
8. HAAs: 2 x 40mL NH4Cl
9. General: 1L HDPE
10. Pesticides: 1L Amber Glass
11. Herbidides: 2 x 40mL Na2S2O3
12: Phenols: 1L NaHSO4 + Ascorbic Acid
13. Sulfide: 125mL NaOH+ZnOAc
14. Ammonia: 125mL H2SO4
15. General: 125mL HDPE

Just send back the filled bottles to the lab and the report with the results is included in the price. These results are meant to indicate the influence of surface water, septic, animal fecal matter and other common issues. This also meets the definition of potability for “most” mortgages.

Results – on the delivery of filled bottles back to the laboratory according to the included instructions.  Included with results on the report is a comparison to the Canadian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines
